I love the way Jira integrates with its current development tools to create branches and code reviews. It would be even better if Jira natively supported Gitlab (Hosted or The Users Own Servers) just like it supports Stash/BitBucket/Github. Gitlab is growing in terms of its user base and is definitely a source repository that should be supported out of the box.

Our company is also starting to use Jira for issue tracking and gitlab for code control (on-prem).

looking forward to see this implemented!

My company just switched from GitHub Enterprise to GitLab.  GitLab requires you to upgrade to Premium (from Starter) to enable their own Jira integration, which for me means spending almost 5x more on GitLab for almost 3000 users.  So I've had to tell our users that they can no longer use the Development Panel, and they are not happy.

GitLab should just be a value in the dropdown for dev tools configuration.  Please add this.  It's just a git repo and has a robust API, so it seems it should be low/medium effort.

Oh also - GitLab requires the current (crappy) free integration to be set up for every repo, which is nuts.  We have thousands of repos.

GitLab is still growing, stronger than ever. The Git Integration plugin helps a bit, but this is just a workaround. Support should be out of the box.

I'd love this. I'm in charge of DevOps for my company. We're an agency, and we need to support a bunch of clients' environments, and many of them use Gitlab. I'm pushing us to standardize on SourceTree, but this is a little wrinkle.

It will be amazing if Sourcetree will support Gitlab, looking forward to see this feature in Sourcetree

Totally agree with that, I guess that would require an update of DVCS plugin to also work with GitLab. We already decided to go GitLab against GitHub, and I suspect that a huge number of users will go the same way: you cannot beat open source, free base pricing and open issue tracker.
