      This is a request to allow the session timeout for OnDemand instances to be configured manually in the admin configuration section.

      Being:
      timeout = time to automatically log out the user if the session is idle.

            [JRASERVER-34258] Ability to configure the session timeout for OnDemand

            @Mark Thomas - This link says "Jira Cloud's session timeout is 4 hours, but it also relies on the user's browser session"

            @ryan Terwedo - I completely agree.

            Any update on this, also can I confirm - what is the default cloud logout session time ?  - Please Atlassian please confirm this

            I support this ticket and would like to have this for our JIRA instance. Can this be pushed forward as implementation to JIRA cloud? Its not like this would be a major update as the changes are minor and would require a minimum amount of developer time to have at least a simple form of customer login - timeout established which enforces a higher degree of security for unlocked laptops or desktops where customers act careless.

            @pives, looks like this issue can possibly be solved by changing your password or username. Last week they diagnosed this problem as a 3rd party login that was breaking my session. We couldn't track down what was logging is as me externally, so I changed my credentials and that resolved the issue. (Now the hunt is on for what is now going to be logged out.)

            bump... even with my password manager log outs are insanely often for my secured computer.

            Any word on this? Apparently this ticket has been open for some time.

            We're currently getting logged out after less than 5 minutes of activity in both Firefox and Chrome. This is only happening with our JIRA account, and no other sites.
