The cog gadget in dashboards returns XML instead of rendering in the browser

      Summary

When clicking on the cog in a gadget it returns an XML page from the rest endpoint rather than rendering the menu (/rest/api/1.0/issues/10018/ActionsAndOperations)

      Environment

      1. Mac OS X 10.8.4.
      2. PSQL 9.1.
      3. Chrome

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Start up a fresh 6.0.6 instance and create an issue, assigned to yourself.
      2. Click on the cog in the dashboard.

      Expected Results

The menu renders as per normal.

      Actual Results

      The XML is returned instead.

      Notes

No known workaround for the issue at this stage. It appears to be fixed in 6.1-m05-1 as it does not occur in jira.atlassian.com.

This does not occur in the Issue Navigator List.

Fixed and tested both on master and stable.

This error also occurs in our environment, and you can only adjust it after zoom the page and return to the original value, both in Chrome, Firefox and IE.
Besides the problem of the Save button.

This is impacting me in Chrome and IE 8 as well and is a huge deficiency. The Assigned to Me gadget is the only one I can see this happening on. Also, if you remove the gadget and try to re-add it you can never get beyond the Save button. You have to refresh the page to get it to actually display the gadget contents and not the settings.

I can't comfortably upgrade my instance until this is fixed.

We have the same issue under the same circumstances. Only the Assigned to me gadget is affected for now. The workaround for us is to use a custom filter with the same functionality.

Does this only happen in the Assigned to me gadget? In the Filter Results this does not appear to happen.
