NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

It's not possible for the customer to perform a search for any content by user @mention, and it would be great to see this feature improvement.
Some customers even suggest that this could be implemented in the form of a tab, or as part of the user's Home, where one could see all content that he was mentioned at.

[JRASERVER-29412] Ability to search for content by user @mention

Welcome in the next year, where this is still not implemented.

We still need a way to list all our mentions.

How is this not done SIX years after the RFE ?  Searching for when people are trying to contact you?

Would nice to have the ability within the Page Properties Report Macro. There i can filter by keywords. Would be nice to filter by mention.

This functionality would be nice however I also noticed that in 5.4 I can't search for user's name if I want content with @mentions to be returned (at mentions seemed to be indexed by USERNAME and not by the USER'S NAME). See: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-32640

Any updates on this? I've had requests for this ability from people on my team.

Persons that are linked with username also have to be searched using username. For example if we have
            username: someuser
            full name: Some User

and pages containing references someuser then searching for "Some User" will return only pages where this full name is in plain text.

Probably under the hood it works the same way as @Mentions. Searching these incoming links to users would be really useful.
