Description
NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.
The current documentation on creating a notification scheme is incorrect in stating the following:
JIRA is pre-packaged with a notification scheme called Default Notification Scheme which, by default, is associated with all newly-created projects.
The way that JIRA works is that the user has to:
- Create the project eg: "test"
- Go to admin > Click on Projects > "test"
- Scroll to Notifications > Scheme > None
- Actions > Select a Scheme
- Scheme > Default Notification Scheme > Associate
This is the case for 4.4.x and 5.0.x as far as it has been tested.
