      JIRA doesn't currently support Java 7.
      Java6 End-Of-Life will be November 2012. [1]

            JIRA 5.2 EAP 3 (release notes) is compatible with Java 7.

            Can Java 7 please be supported? It's supported on Confluence and other Atlassian products. We do not want to have to manage different JVM installations just for JIRA.
