    • JIRA feedback is collected from a number of different sources and is evaluated when planning the product roadmap. If you would like to know more about how JIRA Product Management uses customer input during the planning process, please see our post on Atlassian Answers.

Further to the changes rolled out here many of us have been left disappointed at the usage of Epic Summary in our Roadmaps, Sprints, Boards, search results etc - basically every where where we were accustomed to seeing the short Title now being populated with a lengthy Summary.

A 'summary' by nature is a sentence or paragraph NOT a short Title for use in lozenges.

I understand Jira's desire to align things for company managed projects but forcing this change on all users with no configuration option was short sighted. Whilst it is possible to change our summaries to titles and I have seen a number of suggestions to set up a Rule to do so, it really should not be necessary to do so

You state here 'We want Jira to be able to reflect the way teams work, no matter what framework you may or may not use. That’s why we’re looking at providing you with the flexibility to shape our tools to the way you work' and yet what you have done is the opposite of providing flexibility or reflecting the way we work!

Please provide a configuration option so that we can choose whether we want the Title or the Summary to be displayed
