    Description

NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Portfolio Server. Using JIRA Portfolio Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

In the Epics backlog, I have some projects that I would like to keep in our backlog, but that we aren't prioritizing yet. This helps to keep these projects on our radar when we are choosing which projects to prioritize. Currently, I manually set these to be in the "Later" release, but I'd also like to keep them at the bottom of our backlog to unclutter our view of the scheduled projects.

Unfortunately, if I add epics to use the normal "Create Epic" button, it puts the newly created epic below all of those items that are in the "Later" release. Thus, it would be great to have some of the following:

      • Instead of requiring me to drag and drop (which can be finicky when dragging to the bottom of the list), it would be nice to also be able to manually edit the priority number (i.e. type in "5").
      • Expose an option like in Jira Agile backlog, where I can right click and then click "Send to bottom of backlog."
      • Allow me to use command/shift click to highlight multiple rows that I can then drag as a group.
      • Or, best of all, allow me to keep all of my "Later" items in a specific grouping that sticks to the bottom of the backlog. It would make sense that if I'm specifically scheduling something for "Later" that it would be at the bottom of the backlog anyhow.
