Summary
Hiding Affects Version and/or Fixed Version in a Jira field configuration for a specific project and/or issue type will cause the relating issues not to appear it Portfolio plans.
Ideally Portfolio would provide an alert visible in Portfolio plan if this condition occurs with instructions on how to resolve this ( Affects Version and Fixed Version are required to be shown and cannot be hidden )
Steps to Reproduce
- Create 3 hierarchy levels, we can use Program -> Project -> Epic as an example
- Create a field configuration tied to Project issue type:
- Hide Affects Version and Fix Version so they don't appear when viewing an issue:
- Observe this issue is missing in the relating Portfolio plan
Expected Results
Portfolio provides an alert that the affected issue won't be viewable in the Plan view as Affects Version/Fix Version are not accessible
Actual Results
No indication is given that there's a problem with the underlying Jira project configuration
Notes
To fix the underlying issue go into the field configuration and make Affects Version/Fix Version visible by selecting show. This will make these fields visible when viewing the affected issue:
