      Issue Summary

Currently, there is no "Issue Archived" trigger in Automation For Jira.

      Suggestion

Implement the "Issue Archived" trigger in Automation For Jira.

      Workaround

The current workaround consist is using the "Multiple issue events" trigger along with the "Issue Archived" event. By using such trigger, the automation rule will be triggered when an issue is archived:

We have delete and clone but not MOVE or ARCHIVE, these are important automation actions.

            Hi folks!

While working with a customer on this subject, we found Automation for Jira now does have an Issue Archived trigger:

It's the Multiple issue events trigger, in which we can select the Issue Archived event (and also Issue Restored):

Would this be the Feature you're all looking for?

A caveat is that we can't perform Edit Issue operations through the Rule because the Issue would be archived already (and uneditable). This is by design in Automation — Rules are triggered right after the event has occurred.

            Let us know!

            Cheers

The opportunity for automated archiving of issues (f.e. closed issues) would be really a great help!

We are having an issue where when someone archives a issue, we want the issue to transition to a done, won't do status however there is no trigger for archived items.

super lame that this doesn't exist.

if you archive a issue with a epic link it will still show up in roadmap view as the last status it was prior to archiving. this would enable to fix that bug

We would like to stop using deletion and move to archiving issues, but the fact we can't automate anything around archiving is a real problem.
