Disabling sub-tasks causes rules using the For Stories (or other issues in Epic) component to fail.

      Issue Summary

      Whenever you configure a rule using the For Stories (or other issues in Epic) component, the rule will fail to execute if sub-tasks are disabled on the instance, while recording an error message in the audit log.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Disable sub-tasks. (Jira Administration Icon > Issues > Sub-tasks > Disable sub-tasks)
      2. Create a rule that has the Stories (or other issues in Epic) component.
      3. Execute the rule.

      Expected Results

      The rule is able to be properly executed.

      Actual Results

      The rule fails and the following message is displayed:

      Workaround

      Remove all sub-task issue types and enable sub-tasks in your instance.
