Subject: Request for a User-Specific "Work Week" Field in Jira
Background
I would like a way to maintain a personal list of Jira issues that I plan to work on during the week. Using labels is not suitable because labels are issue-level fields that are shared across all users.
UseCase- Helps me as a user to manange my ticket queue and pull 'weekly report' easily with this workweek label.
Request
Please provide a user-specific field (or an equivalent capability) that allows each user to independently mark issues for their weekly worklist.
Desired Behavior
The field should be user-specific, allowing each user to maintain their own workweek list without affecting other users.
Users should be able to easily add or remove issues from their personal workweek list.
The field should be searchable in JQL so users can create personal filters (for example, "My Work Week").
The field should not store a shared value that changes the issue for everyone else.
Users should be able to save and reuse their personal workweek filter without manually editing JQL.
Example Use Case
User A marks ISSUE-123 as part of their workweek.
User B does not see ISSUE-123 in their workweek unless they also add it.
Each user's workweek list is maintained independently.
Business Benefits
Simplifies weekly planning by allowing users to maintain a personal work queue.
Eliminates the need to manually edit JQL filters whenever work priorities change.
Prevents personal planning information from affecting other team members.
Enables users to quickly generate a weekly report by exporting the issues from their personal workweek filter.
Allows managers to access or view an employee's shared workweek filter (if the user chooses to share it) for status reviews, planning discussions, and weekly progress reporting.
Improves productivity by providing a simple, reusable workflow for organizing weekly work and reporting.
