      Issue Summary

Automation rule to send emails does not send emails if condition contains a JQL check. No emails are sent, although audit logs show "Successfully sent email".

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Install Automation for Jira 7.1.17
      2. Create a rule with the following:
        • Trigger - Issue Created
        • Condition - If Issue Matches JQL (issuetype = bug).
        • Action - Send email to an address.

      Expected Results

      The email is sent.

      Actual Results

Automation audit logs show that email is successfully sent. But we do not see the emails in inbox.

Problem happens on Automation 7.2.0 as well. When we create another rule, with same trigger, and same action, but without the condition, the emails get sent and appear on inbox.

      Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
