      Problem Definition

      When used with a variable asNumber function is not able to convert it explicitly to ensure that it is treated as a number when passed to leftPad() function. "asNumber" is not included in the DC Documentation : https://confluence.atlassian.com/automation/jira-smart-values-text-fields-993924863.html .

      Suggested Solution

      • Add an ability to use a numeric value in leftPad() function.
      • Implement asNumber in Automation for Jira DC version. 

      Workaround

      Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available.
