Ability to configure rules/conditions to be met before an action is executed

    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

      Summary

Currently, Automation rules execution triggers only happen when a request is processed by Jira. For example, in the flow below:

      • Button is clicked for specific action
      • Request is sent to the backend
      • Request is processed on the backend
      • Response sent back to the browser

The trigger happens after the request is sent to the backend for processing.

The request is that they can also run after the first step of the flow is made (clicking on the button), but before the backend processes the action. In this scenario, this would allow certain actions to be prevented based on conditions in the Automation.
