Description
Issue Summary
This is reproducible on Data Center: (yes)
When importing a rule from another Jira instance using the JSON export, the original rule's owner and actor are present in the file but are ignored after the import is made, even if the owner/user are valid users present on the target Jira.
The default behavior ignores the original user and automatically sets the user/admin that is performing the import as the new owner/actor without offering an alternative.
We would like to be able to see and confirm the owner/actor before completing the import or be able to set the owner/actor during the import itself.
Steps to Reproduce
- Export a rule from a source Jira instance with owner/user = "Rodrigo"
- Import the rule using the JSON file in the target Jira where the user "Rodrigo" exists with the same username.
Expected Results
The original owner/actor is kept as the same username exists and it is valid for the target Jira.
Actual Results
The user/admin who is importing the rule file in the target Jira is set as the new owner/actor of the imported rule.
Workaround
Manually set the owner/actor after importing the rule in the target Jira.
