    Description

Have Trigger in Automation for Jira similar to "Update when a linked issue changes" present in Legacy Automation.

In Legacy Automation (Automating your service project), we have a pre-set rules with "Update when a linked issue changes" in When.

"This rule will add a comment to related issues, when the status of an issue changes."

We need an identical feature in 'Automation for Jira'.

      • Currently, in 'Automation for Jira', you can use "Issue transitioned" trigger and then use "Linked Issue" branch so that rule will focus on linked issue.
      • However, the rule will be triggered every time a transition happens on issues present in 'scope' of the rule. If the 'scope' is global, the rule will be triggered everytime a issue is transitioned on all projects.
      • Unfortunately, we don't have any other feature available to limit the rule execution based on transition of a linked issue to one project without changing 'scope'.
      • The rule in "Legacy Automation" is identical as the scope of automation rules in "Legacy Automation" is restricted to only 1 JSM project.
