As a project-administrator of automation rules
I want to enable/disable notifications at a rule-level
To reduce errors and the cost of managing rules
Acceptance Criteria:
- Notification emails can be enabled or disabled in the Rule Details
- There is no action-level setting for enable/disable of notification emails
- The default setting is enabled for rule-level notifications
- Bonus: Remove the JSON indicator for the add-comment action which appears to indicate send notifications even though it does not send notifications to anyone. This setting can only be seen when exporting the rule to JSON.
- Double-bonus: Identify any other actions like add-comment which have an erroneous send notifications indicator, and remove them also.
Business Value:
Currently, automation rule actions such as Edit field each have an option to Send Notifications, which is enabled by default, and concealed under an expandable section of options. When creating rules, or diagnosing noisy notifications, it is very cumbersome to search a large set of rules to find an offending notifying action. The two ways to find these today are to: edit every single action in every rule to find the notifier, or to export the rules, one by one, to search for the notification tag set to True.
Moving this setting to a rule-level would greatly simplify enable/disable of rule notifications.
