Clicking Save in a Feature is not the same as Auto Save

      Issue Summary

There are some fields in a feature that will automatically save an amendment without having to click the Save (or Save & Close) button. However, the save process that takes place  is not the same for the auto-save as it is for clicking on Save (or Save & Close)

When the Save button is clicked there is a validation that all mandatory/required fields are populated with a value, however when the auto save is triggered no such validation takes place.

This different behaviour means that in the scenario where the Product field has not been populated then the first user to amend the feature will not consistently get a red-pop-up error about the lack of a Product when the save operation takes place - as seeing the error depends on the type of save operation that is performed

For info the automatic save is linked to the Title, Acceptance Criteria and (depending on settings) Description fields

Note: while this report discusses a feature, it is possible that Stories or other workitems may be affected in the same way.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. In a Jira Integrated configuration (where a Product is required in Jira Align Features) create an Epic in Jira that will sync to Jira Align
      2. After the Epic been created as a Feature in Jira Align, change the title of the feature and then click somewhere outside the title field on the background of the details panel
      3. This will trigger an auto-save operation and display a green pop-up for a successful change of the Title
      4. Then in the same feature change the State and click the Save button
      5. As theProduct has not been set this save will fail with a Red Pop-Up message about the Product field.

      Expected Results

Even though an AutoSave may only save the content of one field,  where the save button may save all fields, it is expected that both types of save action would still validate all mandatory fields and warn the editing user of a problem.

      Actual Results

A red pop-up is seen when saving using the buttons, but is not seen during the auto-save activity

      Workaround

After making any changes to a feature, always click the Save button - even if an automatic green pop-up is seen
