      User Problem

When users try to regenerate a two-step verification recovery key, they may see a generic "Something went wrong" message. The message does not explain why the request failed or provide a clear way to recover. Users may be unsure whether they can regenerate the key themselves or need to contact support.

      Suggested Solutions

      • Show a clearer error message when the request fails because required session or security information is missing.
      • Include a "Refresh page" button so users can reload the page and retry.
      • If refreshing does not resolve the issue, explain that users should log out, log back in, and try regenerating the recovery key again.

      Current Workarounds

Users should try logging out, logging back in, and then regenerating the recovery key again.

Before logging out, confirm that you have access to a working two-step verification method or a valid recovery key so you can sign back in.
