Issue Summary
When users attempt to change the email of their Atlassian account to a desired email address that is already associated with another account, two emails are triggered with the same subject line, "Email address change request," but they contain different content. This can confuse users, as both emails are sent simultaneously and may be overlooked due to the identical subject lines.
Steps to Reproduce
- Attempt to change the email address of an Atlassian account to a new desired email address that is already associated with another Atlassian account.
- Observe the emails received in response to this action.
Expected Results
- The user should receive a clear and distinct notification with unique subject lines indicating the success or failure of the email change request.
- OR The email indicating a conflict should have a subject line such as "Conflict in Email Change: Cannot Proceed with Email Change."
Actual Results
- Two emails with the identical subject "Email address change request" are sent simultaneously, but contain different content.
- This can lead to confusion and the potential for one of the emails to be overlooked.
Workaround
Currently, there is no known workaround for this behaviour. A workaround will be added here when available.
