Authentication on the Mobile app shouldn't rely on the browser

      User Problem

      Some customers want to block access from mobile browsers for security reasons. Some IDPs have conditional access settings to restrict access from browsers.

      In the current design of the Atlassian cloud app, the app makes you open the browser at the authentication.

      Ultimately, the following conditions should coexist for better security.

      • Confluence Cloud and Jira Cloud cannot be accessed from the user's mobile browser.
      • Access is allowed through the Confluence Cloud and Jira Cloud apps installed by the user.

      Suggested Solutions

      The mobile app to implement a feature to authenticate within the app itself and do not redirect it to the browser.
