Ability to retrieve / update the groups description via REST API

There are 2 endpoints that are currently available to retrieve Groups:

• GET Bulk get groupsEXPERIMENTALhttps://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/jira/platform/rest/v3/api-group-groups/#api-rest-api-3-group-bulk-get
• GET Find groups

The information returned is only the group ID and name, but not the description and there does not appear to be a way to retrieve the description through REST API.
It would be good to be able to retrieve this information as it can be useful for custom applications.
