    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

In compliance with GDPR, we have rolled out visibility control for the user's profile and it's possible for the user to toggle this setting from id.atlassian.com as referred from:

But as a site admin who managed the site, he should be able to retrieve email addresses from the REST API since they could export the email address from the user export (user management). It would be beneficial if we have a dedicated API endpoint for the admins to retrieve the email address of the users regardless of the profile visibility that configured from id.atlassian.com.

      Workaround:

      Atlassian Update – 12 April 2024

      Hi all,

We have a new API available here: https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/admin/organization/rest/api-group-users/#api-v1-orgs-orgid-users-search-post that returns the user email address regardless of profile visibility setting.

      Thanks,
      Stefan

If the Customer is not yet added to an org, but the customer is known to be a member of a particular org, how are we to add them to the org from the portal if we cannot see their email?

We cannot find this users email unless they are on an org, based on this request.
