Allow switching between Public Name and Full Name across Atlassian Apps

      It would be nice to empower users with the ability to select how their names will show across Atlassian applications regardless of visibility.

      For example, Atlassian accounts created using LDAP have their user's Full Name set by the provider. If the provider uses the user's legal name but the user is known by a different name, then it is not possible to easily change it on the Jira side even though we have a configurable Public Name field. Therefore, please make this field more useful by allowing us to use it across all apps (comments, user picker field, etc) regardless of visibility.

            Yes. We'd like to be able to see public name instead of full name on the apps. This way then a changeable emoji or icon can be added to the public name to denote squad or team.
