Special characters in the account name removes initials in the avatar

      Issue Summary

      When special characters (for example, Æ, Ø, Å) are added as a first letter to the account names in id.atlassian.com, the initials from the user profile will be removed.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Login to https://id.atlassian.com/ > Profile and visibility > About you > Full name
      2. Add a special character as a first letter in the account full name
      3. The initials from the user account avatar are removed.

      Expected Results

      The account initials should be shown even when a special character is used in the user name of the account.

      Actual Results

      The user initials in the avatar are removed.

      Workaround

      There is no workaround at the moment
