Summary

The Session duration feature allows session timeout under a specified duration when the session is idle.

Interactions can be active (a user clicks a button) or passive (an open page auto-refreshes).

The notification services are also considered as a passive interaction which means by keeping your browser open, the session will remain active and not go idle despite not having Jira open.

Proposed solution

Exclude the notification services from being a passive interaction to assure once Jira isn't being used, the session is able to go in idle mode and timeout.
