Problem
Customers who use Confluence to collaborate may find it difficult to identify other users within the product, not everyone belongs to the same organization and asking everyone on the site to set their profile visibility to public and make it happen is impossible. Not to mention that the profile would be visible to everyone and not just the site.
Suggestions
- Have a site based privacy control for Atlassian accounts where the end users can trust sites to show their private information.
- Give control to site administrators to ask for end user consent to private details/trust the site.
Workarounds
- Create a page on the site that end users can store needed personal information for the site.
- Create an on-boarding process for end users to create a personal space and add their needed personal information into their Home.
