Scenario
Currently, if the customer loses their recovery key or it stops working, the account recover method placed on our documentation (at If your recovery key doesn't work or you've lost it section) take at least 48 hours so the customer can log in again. That might cause customer frustration and can be a roadblock for his work.
Suggestion
Reduce that delay time to send the email with the recovery link.
Workaround
If you are able to change your domain's DNS records and the Atlassian Account you have is related to that domain you can:
- Create an Organization.
- Verify your domain (the DNS method is recommended).
- If your account is already managed by an Org, please contact your Org administrator to have the 2FA disabled for your account.
With that you will have access to all accounts under your domain and will be able to disable the two-step verification manually at the Organization > Managed accounts > search for the user you want to disable 2FA > select disable 2FA at the drop-down menu.
