We understand that improved user management logs are a highly requested and useful feature for our customers. We plan to work on this feature in the near future, and will be tracking future updates to it here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/ACCESS-577

Please refer to that ticket for information about this feature going forward.

Before the unified administration, the audit logs would show which user changed made the changes related to users:

After the unified administration, that's no longer shown, it shows "JIRA" as the author of the change:

[ID-57] Audit logs don't show author of user and group changes after introducing unified administration

I can't believe these comments are from 2018. This is a serious issue for us as a user has been added to our account and I have no way of discovering who has added them. It just shows as author 'Jira'. Adding a new user with access to all projects is a pretty big security risk. Why has this not been addressed yet.

This fix is required as our Governance team need to see Audit history to ensure compliance with our internal regulations.  This includes transparency of who is assigning access etc.

We need this fixed as well.  We have a large Jira instance and admins in more than one team, and I need to know who is granting users Service Desk licenses, for example.  This is not helpful at all:

This problem was created more than 4 years ago, has a high priority, but has not been resolved yet.
            I can not believe!

Does Atlassian give any ETA for this?

Folks, do not forget to vote for it.

PCI, SOC2, ISO27001 certified... and I'm not able to track who did changes on my account. Unbelievable!
