Problem & Questions
Users that are removed from application access should up in the Inactive Users filter in User Management. Instead, they show up as Active Users with the option to Deactivate. Not sure if this is intended or unclear wording however it is confusing.
By clicking the Deactivate link, user shows up in Inactive Users even though nothing has changed. Is the Active Users and Inactive Users using status to determine active/inactive? If so, why doesn't removing application access cause the user to have a status of inactive?
Also, if a user was previously removed from application access by unchecking the boxes then deactivated, why does activating not restore them back the application access?
Is this intended behavior? If so, is there way to bulk edit users instead of clicking "Deactivate" on each individual user. This is extremely tedious if you have 100+ users that have been removed from application access.
Steps To Recreate
- Create new user and give them application access
- Go to User Management and look up newly created user
- Click on user
- Uncheck boxes for JIRA and Confluence
- Go back to User Management and filter by Inactive Users
- User does not show up as expected
