Translation Error
We have identified a limitation in how invitation emails are sent to users within Atlassian Cloud organizations.
Currently, the language of the invitation email is determined by the default language configured at the project level. This behavior leads to inconsistent and inadequate user experience in multi-language environments.
For example:
- When the project is configured in Portuguese (pt-BR), international users (e.g., from the United States) receive invitation emails in Portuguese.
- When the project language is switched to English, Brazilian users start receiving invitation emails in English.
There is no flexibility to define or adjust the invitation language based on the user profile or organization context.
Expected Behavior:
The invitation email language should be determined by user-level or organization-level preferences, rather than being tied exclusively to the project default language.
Impact:
This limitation negatively impacts the onboarding experience, especially for organizations operating in multiple countries or supporting multiple languages.
It may cause confusion for end users receiving communications in an unfamiliar language during account creation.
