      Issue Summary

There is an inconsistency in the display language of system fields across Jira and JSM. Jira system fields (e.g., Work Type, Status, Epic) appear in English, while JSM system fields (e.g., Request Types, Request Participant, Major Incident) are displayed in a different language (e.g., Norwegian).

This inconsistency requires administrators to be familiar with multiple languages when creating JQL queries, filters, and managing the platform.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create a site and add Jira as a product.
      2. Once Jira is added and enabled, change the default system language (From Settings > System > General Settings > Default Language) to another language (e.g., Norwegian).
      3. Add JSM to the same site.
      4. Navigate to Settings > System > Work Items > Custom fields.
      5. Observe that some system fields are displayed in English, while others are shown in Norwegian.
      6. Note that there is no option to translate or modify the language of system fields after creation.

      Expected Results

All system fields across Jira and JSM should be displayed in the same language, maintaining consistency throughout the site regardless of when products are added.

      Actual Results

System fields are created in the default language set at the time each product is added, without considering the existing language of previously created fields. This results in a mix of languages for system fields, causing confusion and additional complexity for administrators.

      Workaround

      • To prevent this issue from happening, make sure the default Jira language is set to the desired language before adding any new products or apps to the site.
      • In JQL queries, use custom field IDs instead of field names to avoid language inconsistencies.
