Issue Summary

Custom priority “Major” is automatically translated to German as “Schwerwiegend” for German‑language users, even though no German translation is configured. Other custom priorities like “Significant” are not translated, causing an inconsistent mix such as “Schwerwiegend, Significant” and a hidden translation the admin can’t see or control.

Steps to Reproduce

1. In Jira Cloud, go to Settings → Issues → Priorities.

1. Create two custom priorities: Major and Significant.

1. Go to … → Translate priorities and confirm no German translations exist for these priorities.

1. Log in as a user with profile language = German.

1. Open an issue in the project and view the Priority field.

Expected Results

• With no translations configured:

• • Both priorities should show as Major and Significant, or

Actual Results

• Major is shown as Schwerwiegend for German users.

• Significant remains Significant.

• Translate priorities shows no German translation for Major, so the translation is effectively hidden from admins and inconsistent with other custom priorities.
