The following are issues cited by Arne Schirmacher and sent to me in email. These will be assigned to MediaLocate to fix before including in JIRA release.

      1. http://medialocate.atlassian.com/jira/secure/admin/ViewIssueTypes.jspa

      • encoding seems to be broken. I tried this with utf-8 and iso-8859.15, both on Firefox and MSIE. It should be utf-8.
      • "vorgangstypen" is a noun and must be capital ("Vorgangstypen")
      • what does "welche(r/s) vorgangstypen" mean. Each of the alternatives are wrong.
      • "vorgangstypen" is plural and does not match "wird" (singular)
      • "Global Vorgangstypen" should be "Globale Vorgangstypen"
      • "Neues Vorgangstyp" should be "Neuer Vorgangstyp" (two occurrences)
      • "Unteraufgaben" should be "Teilvorgänge", to be consistent with the rest of the translation
      • the path /images/icons has been translated into /bilder/symbole , which is of course wrong. The path is independent of any translation.

      2. http://medialocate.atlassian.com/jira/secure/admin/jira/ListEventTypes.jspa

      • Awkward language. "Die folgende Tabelle zeigt die Ereignisse an, die in JIRA definiert sind."
better: "Die folgende Tabelle zeigt alle in JIRA definierten Ereignisse an"
      • "Vordefiniert" is "predefined". This is actually the opposite of what is meant here. We need "Selbstdefiniert - vom Anwender definierte Ereignisse" or something similar.
      • "Workflow" is not "Arbeitsaufwand" (which means work effort or work time spent). I would rather leave the english term "workflow transition post function" as it is only visible to technical persons anyway.
      • The content in the colums "name" and "description" is redundant. This is true for the english original too. It would be better to have a description "sent after an issue is created".

      3. http://medialocate.atlassian.com/jira/secure/admin/jira/ViewLinkTypes.jspa

      • The navigator title "Verknüpfung von Sachverhalten" should be "Vorgänge verknüpfen" or "Verknüpfung von Vorgängen". "Sachverhalt" is "Vorgang".
      • Awkward language: "Für Benutzer, die in der Lage sein sollen, Vorgänge zu verknüpfen, müssen Sie sicherstellen, dass sie über die Berechtigung Vorgänge verknüpfen für dieses spezielle Projekt verfügen. "
        too many commas

      4. http://medialocate.atlassian.com/jira/secure/admin/subtasks/ManageSubTasks.jspa

      • Sub-Tasks are translated as "Teilvorgänge" in most previous JIRA releases. So users might be confused if this word now suddenly changes.
      • "Zeitverfolgung": is not a german word. "Zeiterfassung" is correct.
google: 119 occurrences for Zeitverfolgung, all from bad translations.
        Zeiterfassung: 1.290.000 occurrences.

      5. Other problems:

      • "Screen" is not "Bildschirm". A Bildschirm is the complete TFT-monitor or CRT sitting on your desktop. Screen is somewhat difficult to translate, maybe "Formular" (form) is more appropiate. However Bildschirm is just wrong.
      • "Dashboard" is also difficult to translate. I have used "Startseite" (start page) before. "Übersicht" means "overview". Maybe you can use "Übersichtsseite"? The term should somehow point to the fact that this is a particular view or page of the JIRA application. Übersicht is too general and can mean anything.
