      Summary

      Certain translation JAR files contain invalid backspace (u00008) characters. This can break the rendering of gadgets as detailed in JRA-40322.

      Steps to Reproduce

      It appears that the files are created with these characters in them.

      Expected Results

      The files do not contain invalid characters.

      Actual Results

      The files contain invalid characters.

      Notes

      The site translations.atlassian.com needs protection so it is not possible to enter translations containing invalid characters, such as backspace, in UTF.
