CPU usage of HipChat is high

      Summary

      The CPU usage is too high when HipChat is running. Intermittently, doing nothing in the client seems to consume almost 100% of CPU usage sometimes.

      Environment

      • Web Client running Ubuntu 15.10, chrome 48.0.2564.103
      • Linux Client running on Ubuntu 15.10
      • Windows Client 4.0.1643 and latest

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Launch one of the HipChat versions tested
      2. Open the System Monitor
      3. Do nothing in the client instead of keep it opened
      4. Monitor the HipChat CPU usage

      Expected Results

      HipChat CPU usage is low.

      Actual Results

      HipChat CPU usage is high, around 60% to 100%.

      Workaround

      No workarounds at the moment.
