HipChat Windows client 4.X crashes while starting the app on Windows 7 Machines on specific hardware setup.

      Environment

      • HP 9470M with Intel HD Graphics 4000
      • AMD Radeon HD 6570
      • Matrox M9128 LP PCIe x16
      • Intel(R) HD Graphics 520
      • Windows 7 Enterprise (x64)
      • HipChat Windows 4.X

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Install HipChat
      2. Run HipChat
      3. The client will crash

      Expected Results

The HipChat client should launch without any crash

      Actual Results

The HipChat client will crash and show the following error message.

Fatal error: [21:27:44][:0] Failed to create OpenGL context for format QSurfaceFormat(version 2.0, options QFlags(), depthBufferSize -1, redBufferSize -1, greenBufferSize -1, blueBufferSize -1, alphaBufferSize 8, stencilBufferSize -1, samples -1, swapBehavior 0, swapInterval 1, profile 0) .
This is most likely caused by not having the necessary graphics drivers installed.

Install a driver providing OpenGL 2.0 or higher, or, if this is not possible, make sure the ANGLE Open GL ES 2.0 emulation libraries (libEGL.dll, libGLESv2.dll and d3dcompiler_*.dll) are available in the application executable's directory or in a location listed in PATH.

      Workaround

Add the flad --disable-gpu to the target on the desktop shortcut. Please refer to this page for more instructions
