Current behavior
HipChat Server does not currently support SAML-based authentication.
Expected behavior
Provide support for SAML for HipChat Server.

We're excited to announce that with HipChat Server 2.2, SAML 2.0 support is now available out of the box, giving teams a more secure and painless way to sign in. We support OneLogin and Okta right out of the box and you also have the option to use a custom SAML implementation if you use another identity provider.
We thank you for your feedback, and will continue to listen to you and all our customers to better understand your needs.
