HipChat chat window has weird rendering issues / blinking / flashing on Windows

      When using HipChat 4.30.1.1663 (Web Core 4.30.2) on Windows 10, the chat window appears to have rendering issues, with the chat being typed lagging, and the main/history display flashing and displaying in odd ways.
