Cannot apply Atlassian Data Center Stack License to HipChat Server

Problem

• Cannot apply an Atlassian Data Center Stack License to a HipChat Server instance.
• The same license can apply to a node running HipChat Data Center.

Steps to reproduce:

• Attempt to add the license key to a HipChat Server via the web UI or command line.

Actual results:

• An error occurs, for example:

  hipchat license -i license.txt
  Error: The license does not support HipChat Server
  

Expected results:

License should apply without an issue.

Solution

This has been fixed in HipChat Server 2.2.6.

Workaround
