      Summary

      User unable to start HipChat client 4.0 it will give this error "HipChat.exe - Bad Image C:\program files\atlassian\hipchat4\DBGHELP.DLL is either not design to run on windows or it contain an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support."

      • Windows 7 64bit
      • Windows 7 32bit
      • Windows 8.1
      • Windows 10
      • Citrix XenDesktop

      Expected Results

      User should be able to open HipChat client.

      Actual Results

      User unable to run the client and give this error:

      Workaround

      • Delete DBGHELP.DLL from C:\program files\atlassian\hipchat4\ and then run HipChat client.
      • Disable Antivirus temporary and run clean Install
      • Change the installation path to somewhere else example D:\HipChat4\
