      Problem

      When trying to connect HipChat Server to an internal provider for SAML 2.0 authentication, the provider requests a certificate from the server to encrypt the traffic.

      There currently is no option available in HipChat Server's SAML to provide this information.

      Suggestion

      There should be an area where the HipChat Server Admin could configure the private key in Hipchat and provide the public certificate to a SAML provider.

      This is also known as "Assertion Encryption" and is not something currently implemented in HipChat Server 2.2.x.
