HipChat on Sierra OS - Slow performance and high CPU usage

HipChat client on the Sierra OS is consuming +100% of CPU and causing slow performance. No actions are needed to trigger this behavior other than just leaving the app opened. It started to affect some users after they update the OS from a previous version to Sierra.

Environment

• Mac OSX Sierra 10.12
• HipChat 4.27.0

Steps to reproduce

1. Launch HipChat (affected version) on Sierra OS
2. Give it a few seconds and observe the app's performance. Also, open the Mac's Activity Monitor to verify the CPU consumption.

Expected results

Application's performance is normal (not slow ) and CPU consumption is normal as well (not high).

Actual results

Application's performance is slow and the CPU consumption goes up to 100%.
