Look, I love Atlassian's stuff. I am a regular at my local AUG, and have Jira, Jira Service Desk, BitBucket, and Confluence installed on-site. I also am in the process of getting my organization onto hipchat. There is one major roadblock though, compared to Slack: The childish, cringey rage comic / meme stuff. This does not make hipchat very appealing to an organization that is looking for a streamlined, professional communications platform. I get the emoticons, emojis, whatever. But the you throw in this internet meme crap, people don't take it seriously. Please, remove this stuff and make hipchat a little more in-line with the rest of your products.
