Summary

Using windows key sequence to convert a word to any language will make the client freeze

Environment

• Windows 10
• Windows 8
• Windows 7

Step to reproduce

1. Open Window Text Services and Input Languages
2. Open Advanced Key Setting
3. Select the language and press change Key Sequence
4. Pick any keyboard combination example CTRL + 1
5. Type something in HipChat client and press CTRL + 1
6. HipChat client will freeze

Expected Results

Type word will change according to the language user set

Actual Results

HipChat client freeze

Workaround

1. Use the default Windows Flag + SPACE setting or
2. Manually press the language change in taskbar but this is only to switch between language and still no workaround for converting a word.

Notes

• The issue is with "switching a word to specific language" and not "switching between languages"
• Any software that convert a word to another language will trigger this bug too example HCPUB-59
