Summary

In HipChat Server v1.4.2/1.4.3, selecting to disable video (Server Admin -> Video -> Disable) does not stop users from initiating 1-1 calls although the calls would not get through. The error message was also not clear to indicate that the video feature is disabled.

Environment

• HipChat Server v1.4.2
• HipChat Server v1.4.3
• HipChat Server v2.0.4

Steps to Reproduce

User A is calling to user B

Expected Results

An error should be returned stating that 1-1 video has been disabled by an administrator.

Actual Results

User B will never get the call and User A will get timeout message "Looks like user B is not available". This is not ideal although the call never gets through.

Suggestions

Disable video button when video option is disabled
