    • Severity 3 - Minor

      Summary

      • When you do a Right-click on an empty part of the Chat area, you'll get two options: Import Image or Capture Image from Selection. Selecting the first one will cause the HipChat Mac client to freeze or be unclickable.
      • The client doesn't freeze per se, but you can no longer click or do anything. The GIFs are still moving, and you can still read new HipChat content and @mentions.

      Environment

      • Observed on Mac 4.0.12-667, running on latest MacOS

      Steps to reproduce

      1. Right-click on any empty space on your HipChat client's Chat space
      2. Select Capture Image.

      Expected Result

      • You'll invoke the Select a camera or a scanner window. (See screenshot)

      Actual Result

      • The screen "freezes" or more like, the UI gets blocked as if waiting for the pop-up window to appear. During this time, you can't type, or close your HipChat client window, or even click on the HipChat from your Mac's top bar. You'll have to Force Quit the App in order to resume using the App.

      Additional Note/s

      • Doesn't happen on older Mac versions that do not have the Import Image right-click option.
