I have multiple google identities, only one of them is associated with my HipChat team. When I start a hangout the integration appears to pick my default google account (which is not my HipChat account)

So the hangout gets created under the wrong google account and others can't join.

Not sure if this is possible on your side or not but it would be nice to offer an option to configure the integration to select which google account to use.

BONUS: If you allow me to configure the default for all users of the integration at a group admin level. That way the integration will always just work for my team.

REPRO:
1. Have multiple google identities
2. Start a hangout.
3. Notice it starts using the "default" google identity (which appears to be whichever one you sign into first on your machine)
