As an Agile Board user I would like my quick filters to filter epics in the Epic pane as well

    • We collect Jira feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

We tag our issues using labels. Some times these labels are used in quick filter logic. Currently those quick filters only filter the backlog. I'd like for these quick filters to also filter the Epic pane as well. That way I could filter by say, component and see only backlog issues and epics that have been tagged by that particular component.

GHS-6949 is asking for the same change, has more votes, and is older.

We also need the possibility that filters also filter the EPICs.

As a product owner with a backlog of multiple / shared projects with multiple teams i would be able to define filter which will only display the epics witch match the given JQL Filter. for example if is select the filter "project = Myproject1" i only want to see the epics of Myproject1 at the left side navigation to get a better overview!

We have multiples projects that are part of a program and it is helpful to be able to track them on a single board. Unfortunately not being able to filter epics creates confusion because one cannot tell what epics belong to what project. It would be great if Atlassian raise priority on this issue and fix it soon.

We like the new Epic panel, but the usability is limited right now due to this. We have several sub-projects within a single Jira project (designated by Component) and swap between the two views of the backlog using quick filters. Seeing the epics for the filtered stories doesn't make sense, and there are lots of them.

Yeah, this is a big deal to allow us to properly plan based on Epics and slice and dice the view of remaining epics in a particular area (component) or version. It would be really nice if Epics filtered or at least let folks choose if they should be filtered or not (if that is being debated.

You know, the other option would be to at least highlight the Epics that match the filter by color or something.

Something is needed to view it this way. We are having to direct our product management team back to the Classic View to manage their Epics right now....as it's impossible to do otherwise.

This is a problem with multiple dimensions. We need to either be able to use one board per team but force them all to use the same sprint structure, or to share one board, with quick filters that filter out epics. Right now we're between a rock and a hard place with this.
